VICKY MYNOTT BSc (Hons) MCSP SRP, |
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. I qualified in 2003 from The University of Brighton. I then started working at Frimely Park Hospital in Surrey where I worked for 9 years, completing my rotations and specialising in Outpatients and Orthopaedics, before holding a team leader role for a year. Whilst at Frimley Park I worked closely with Consultants both in fracture clinics and on the wards. I have worked in a gym environment treating lower limb injuries, and also have lots of experience treating shoulders, neck and backs injuries. Throughout my NHS rotations I also spent time treating and rehabilitating in the hydrotherapy pool. During my career I have completed my Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) training in matwork and class instructors which I used to set up a post-spinal op rehabilitation class while I was with the NHS. I am a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), training in Acupuncture which I use in combination with my manual physiotherapy skills to treat pain, muscle tension and headaches. In 2010 I started working in Private Clinics; I also started teaching Pilates in both a class and one-to-one setting. In 2011 I left the NHS and started to work solely in private practice. I continue to learn and update my knowledge and skills in all areas of musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and Pilates. I believe that the correct treatment for the individual with the correct rehabilitation will provide a quick recovery and aim to prevent re-occurrence. >> BACK TO MEET THE TEAM |
