SARAH WILKINS BSc (Hons) MSc (Sport and Exercise Medicine), ACPSEM- Silver accredited, |
I graduated in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Kings College London, and has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Sarah has completed many postgraduate courses including Acupuncture, Pilates level 1, Massage therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, and taping. I have a keen interest in sports as a competitive athlete, and as a Sports Medicine Physiotherapist. I am currently working with the English Institute of Sport and am the physiotherapist for the Great Britain Fencing Team, where Icomplete screening assessments, pre-habilitation exercises and extensive rehabilitation programmes with the athletes to assist in their full return to sport, reducing injury risk and aiding performance enhancement. Since qualifying I have also spent 6 years working for Reading Football Club and have also worked with England Basketball, elite rowers and at Twickenham Stadium with Oxford University Rugby Football Club at their Varsity match. I have also been selected to provide physiotherapy cover at multi sports events including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Glasgow Commonwealth Games, World University Winter Games, BUCS championships, Home Nations, and The UK School games. I enjoy the challenge of treating a variety of different injuries and conditions, assisting individuals to full function and fitness. >> BACK TO MEET THE TEAM |
