At 11 years old, Olivia Kleid is obsessed with beauty products. Kleid’s mom says the teen beauty boom stems from online influencers. However, when she took her to buy skin care products, Kleid’s mom was shocked at how much things cost. Dermatologist Dr. Rose Marie Ingelton says “Glycolic acid products are wonderful, but they [teens] should be supervised by a dermatologist and generally they don’t need it yet.” She suggests young girls stick with a simple cleanser, toner and a moisturizer with sunscreen.
