After retiring from competitive sports, and initially studying to become a Physical Therapist, subsequently gaining postgraduate diplomas in Physiotherapy and Joint Manipulations, Diplomas in Sports therapy and Sports massage.
I then carried on with my studies and have gained a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Acupuncture and Diploma in Tui Na (Chinese Massage). Finally I’m due to graduate with an MSC in lower limb musculo-skeletal studies specializing in lower limb injuries, biomechanics and gait analysis.
I have worked extensively in sports for 18 years, working with rugby teams locally and professional boxing and martial artist. I have also worked with many competitive sports and experienced most injuries types coming into the clinic
I have also started to use video & gait analysis, using treadmills and on-track/field facilities to diagnose and rectify lower limb and foot biomechanical problems.
I use a fusion of skills incorporating Eastern and Western diagnosis and treatments to offer patients a different take on treating musculo-skeletal injuries.
I am a HPC & Chartered Physiotherapist, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Member of the Society of Sports Therapists, in addition to membership of the British Acupuncture Council and Association of acupuncture in Chartered Physiotherapy.
